Guild Event Types

Our diverse range of event types ensures there's something for everyone. The events we offer fall into one of three categories:

Guild Gatherings are all about fostering community and building connections within the presentation industry. Perfect for members looking to engage with like-minded professionals, these events include:

All Hands on Deck (AHOD): Quarterly, interactive 1-hour sessions featuring organizational updates from the Board of Directors, member highlights, and engaging activities. Cameras are encouraged to enhance participation and connection.

Slide of the Month: An asynchronous activity where members can showcase their creativity, vote on designs, and learn from one another in a collaborative environment.
Join us to stay connected, celebrate member achievements, and grow together as a community!

Annual Meeting: Meet the Board of Directors, discuss next year’s plans, and hear about our Strategic Plan for 2026, including events, programs, volunteer opportunities, and goals. Learn about behind-the-scenes updates and discover ways you can contribute to elevating the presentation industry.

Learning Labs are designed to help members enhance their technical skills and advance their careers through focused professional development opportunities. These events include:

Behind the Slides (BtS): Quick, 30-minute masterclasses in a webinar format to dive into specific skills and techniques.

Office Hours: Ongoing sessions where members can ask any question about PowerPoint and get them answered by Echo Swinford, Microsoft MVP.

AI Series: Quarterly 60-minute sessions exploring the possibilities and impact possibilities of artificial intelligence on presentation design and workflows.

Think Tank events provide a collaborative space for members to network, share insights, and discuss pressing topics in the presentation industry. Perfect for those looking to engage with peers and exchange ideas, this category includes:

Business Talks: Hosted by Bethany Auck and Nolan Haims, these open-forum sessions draw inspiration from member discussions on Slack, with prepared topics and time for spontaneous questions.

Book Club: The Guild’s book club offers you an opportunity to learn and network with your peers from the comfort of your home. Read and analyze the best sellers in our industry and discover new and better ways to present your material.
